Between 2001 and 2003 national representative for the World Cyber Games for Bulgaria is Headoff G.I. – a company that organizes a number of cyber tournaments
Since 2004 the national strategic partner of ICM for Bulgaria has been the Bulgarian Federation of Electronic Sports. BFES is a non-governmental youth organization, which is a leader on the Bulgarian market in the management and the realization of various events for computer and console network games. Last but not least, BFES organizes the national cyber championship and is the first European sports organization for cyber sports.
BFES manages a number of activities directly related to the e-sports in Bulgaria:
- The annual cyber sports calendar realization. Bulgaria’s participation at the Samsung Euro Championship 2008 went smoothly thanks to BFES. At the moment the Federation is organizing the National Preliminaries for the World Cyber Games 2008.
- The institutional establishment of cyber sports in Bulgaria. The process of founding the structure and ensuring the personnel of the Federation in terms of the education of e-sports professionals has ended successfully.
- Establishment of the “e-sports trainer” job position. With the closing of the project on the “Leonardo da Vinci” program the gamers from around EU got the chance for a professional realization in their specialty – cyber sports.
- Instruction of cyber sports trainers. Thanks to the efforts of BFES nowadays we have 49 graduated e-sports trainers as well as the first Bulgarian referee with an international license.
- Establishment of the Academy for young leaders. The idea provides for the creation of a virtual centre for out-of-the-box education, developing the young generation of Bulgaria.
- Founding a web portal www.worldcyberleague.net. This product realizes the concept “fun-manifestation-realization” in support of young people and their successful integration and realization in life. On the site you can find information on the most interesting stuff in the world of cyber sports as well as up-to-date information on the World Cyber Games events.
Behind the causes of the Bulgarian Federation of Electronic Sports there stand a number of state institutions, non-governmental organizations and big companies in the sphere of new technologies. BFES is strongly related to various media and is glad to have them handle the media coverage of the events organized. Among the partners of BFES are:
