General Rules for the National Preliminaries for the WCG 2008 Bulgaria


  1. The tournament in Bulgaria is a part of the international Preliminaries for WCG 2008 in Cologne, Germany.

  2. All participants in the tournament must be Bulgarian citizens. All participants must accept the rules. The participants must be allowed to travel abroad.

  3. The winners in the games, included in the National Preliminaries for the WCG 2008, are the National Team.

  4. The national qualifications are held in three stages – 3 online tournaments.

  5. The tournament starts on the 10th of April and finishes on the 28th of May 2008.

  6. All preliminary matches will be held online. The finals (offline tournaments and national final) will be live (offline).

  7. Tournament scheme:
    • Signing up for the tournament is obligatory for all competitors, who wish to participate and is done after the form is correctly filled. If a form is incorrectly filled the competitor will be disqualified.
    • The national qualifications begin with signing up, after which the competitors are divided into groups by the order of signing.
    • Competitors can’t play more then one match per day.
    • The winners of the groups take the corresponding places in the brackets as follows:

Group 1 -> Place 1 (in the bracket); Group 2 -> Place 2 (in the bracket) etc

  1. The game admin gets the result after each match. The winner sends a report to the announced email within 15 minutes after the match has finished. The report must include:

  2. • Nickname of the two competitors

    • The result of the match

    • The replay of the match

Example: Warrior 2:1 Aviator

  1. Cheating and unfair play is not tolerated during the preliminaries. If such is proved the admin has the right to disqualify competitors. Every proved unfair play, cheating, intentional disconnect, etc. will result in immediate disqualification.
